About the position
The 2nd Shift-FSQA Technician at Tyson Foods, Inc. is responsible for conducting physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems. This role involves documenting and calculating results accurately, taking corrective actions when necessary, and reporting findings to management. The technician plays a crucial role in ensuring safety and quality standards are met within the plant.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems.
- Document and calculate inspection results accurately.
- Take corrective action when necessary, including alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes.
- Identify, segregate, and isolate non-conforming products.
- Report results to management and complete additional assignments as requested.
- Ensure personal and food safety standards are maintained.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other QA type experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to complete Tyson paperwork and lead by example.
- Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.
- Math and organizational skills are necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
- Must function well under stress and have flexibility to work where and when needed.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items (70 lbs. or more).
