About the position

As a 2nd Shift Full-Time Warehouse Associate at ALDI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. This position requires you to work an average of 30-35 hours per week, starting at 3:00 PM. You will be responsible for selecting and receiving incoming stock to fulfill orders from stores, relocating merchandise throughout the warehouse, and preparing shipments. Your duties will also include sorting, organizing, and loading merchandise strategically, as well as unloading incoming shipments from trucks. Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the warehouse is essential, and you will participate in inventory counts and provide input to management on process improvements. In this role, you will need to demonstrate strong communication skills as you interact with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership. You will be expected to act independently within your delegated responsibilities while also cooperating with your team to achieve budgeted goals. Your ability to inspect products and report any quality or safety concerns will be vital to maintaining the integrity of our operations. You will also be required to follow ergonomic guidelines and operate equipment safely while performing your essential job functions. Responsibilities

  • Selects and receives incoming stock efficiently to fulfill orders from stores.
  • Relocates merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines.
  • Sorts, organizes, and loads merchandise strategically in preparation for shipment.
  • Unloads incoming shipments from trucks and back-hauls.
  • Performs general cleaning duties to maintain warehouse appearance and safety standards.
  • Participates in warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines.
  • Cooperates and interacts effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
  • Provides input to warehouse management regarding process improvements.
  • Inspects products and consults with management regarding quality and safety concerns.
  • Acts independently within delegated responsibilities.
  • Assists management in achieving budgeted goals.
  • Performs all assigned tasks accurately and efficiently within company policies.
  • Follows ergonomic program procedures.
  • Operates equipment according to safety guidelines.
  • Notifies management of product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with powered industrial equipment.
