About the position
The Machine Operator (Automatics III) at Parker Hannifin is responsible for the setup, operation, adjustment, and maintenance of multiple-spindle screw machines and metal cutting operations. This role is crucial for ensuring that production levels and quality standards are met in the manufacturing of hoses and fittings.
Responsibilities
- Adjust all machine tooling and machine fixtures.
- Grind all backup tooling associated with the machine.
- Understand the basic concepts of feeds and speeds.
- Perform setups for various devices including conventional and NOCAM screw machines, BTB's, collets, pads, drills, mill holders, cams, taps, recess holders, pushers, reamers, and step drills.
- Troubleshoot basic machining problems such as chatter, roughness, tool marks, short feedouts, and concentricity.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of machine setup and operation experience
- Ability to read, write, and converse in English
- Ability to work well with other facility associates
- Effective communication skills with shop personnel.
