About the position
The 2nd Shift Material Handler II at Milwaukee Valve Co. is responsible for the safe operation of material handling equipment and the transportation of various materials and containers. This role requires accuracy in work and record-keeping, as well as the ability to adapt to changing work conditions. The position operates on a second shift schedule, with potential overtime and a starting wage of $22.37 per hour plus a shift premium. The role also includes a sign-on bonus of $2,000, payable in two installments.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate material handling equipment.
- Transport various materials and containers of different sizes and weights.
- Demonstrate accuracy in work and record-keeping.
- Operate processing equipment such as Parts Washers and Production Saws.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
- Comply with safety and security procedures.
- Participate in scheduled annual inventory days.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience operating forklifts.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with mobile stairs, scales, and hoists.
