About the position

The Order Selector position at Vistar involves selecting and preparing food and non-food products for customer orders in a warehouse environment. This role is essential for supporting America's food distribution system, ensuring that orders are filled accurately and efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities

• Select cases and containers of food and non-food products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems.
• Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks to locate products according to order sheets.
• Manually place appropriate stock items on pallets from pick slots and racks as required.
• Transport completed palletized customer orders to the shipping dock staging area.
• Perform safety checks on pallet jack/forklift and ensure all safety devices are functioning properly.
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Remove and replace batteries requiring recharging and complete vehicle inspection checklist at the end of the shift.
• Report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• 6-12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• Ability to work scheduled/assigned times and required overtime
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and stack products between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, and dry)
• Pass pre-employment drug test

Nice-to-haves

• 1-3 years warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
• Experience using a motorized pallet jack
• Motorized pallet jack certified
