About the position

As a member of the production support team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating all production processes. This position requires a keen eye for detail as you will be responsible for detecting and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area is essential, and adherence to prescribed safety regulations is a must. You will also be expected to contact the supervisor or assist with any complex problems that may arise within the production process. Understanding the production policies, practices, and procedures is vital, and you will ensure that the team comprehends and follows these guidelines. Quality control is a significant aspect of this role; you will be responsible for identifying and documenting quality problems and ensuring the prevention of non-conforming products. Additionally, you may assist the supervisor in overseeing colleague performance and scheduling, as well as training colleagues on the production line. This position may also involve performing other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the production team.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with coordinating all production processes.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
  • Maintains work area and ensures equipment is kept in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Contacts supervisor, or may assist with any complex problems that may arise within the production process.
  • Understands the production policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Ensures the team understands and follows these procedures.
  • Responsible for the quality of work performed.
  • Identify and document quality problems.
  • Ensures prevention of non-conforming products.
  • May be responsible to assist supervisor in overseeing colleague performance and scheduling.
  • May be responsible for training colleagues on the line.
  • Follows safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Solid ability to read, understand and maintain records as required.
  • Solid ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough understanding of the production process.
  • Solid ability to work well with a team.
  • Willing and able to teach, coach, and develop others.
