About the position
The position involves providing ongoing support to operations associates, ensuring that the team is enabled and empowered to meet operations objectives related to safety, quality, efficiency, and morale. In collaboration with area managers, the role aims to create a clear environment where goals are defined, and associates are equipped to succeed. The company emphasizes a safety philosophy that respects the health and safety of associates, the environment, and the communities in which it operates.
Responsibilities
- Create, communicate, validate, and report the plan for the day
- Guide or support problem-solving efforts in conjunction with other departments
- Meet or exceed organizational objectives defined by management
- Conduct daily reviews of systems and processes
- Respond appropriately to variances and deviations from the plan of the day
- Develop capability of operations teams
- Ensure safe conditions and behaviors
- Support operators to resolve concerns and lead/coach the team effectively
- Engage in interaction to deliver essential information to operators
- Demonstrate core values through effective leadership behaviors
- Review and approve timekeeping entries
- Maintain daily operational documents and facilitate daily meetings
- Validate safety, quality, productivity, and service targets through health checks and audits
- Provide cross-shift communication and support orientation and training efforts
- Collaborate with internal and external parties to understand safety, quality, and efficiency concerns
- Manage designated improvement projects
Requirements
- High school diploma or the equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Technical and analytical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Nice-to-haves
- B.S. in a Business or similar discipline preferred
- Able to use existing operating systems (KRONOS, JDE, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
