About the position
Rendering Operator will be primarily responsible for the Production & Quality of Grease & Bone meal from Plant Rendering Operations. The operator will work with inedible product from the processing floor, handling inedible raw material that will be ground & cooked. The operator will work with cooking machinery, grease pumps, valves, auger conveyors, product press, bins, hoppers, box combo dumper, forklifts, etc.
Responsibilities
- Unload truck and blend combo boxes in bin
- Clean out expeller cribs at the end of the shift
- Blow out all grease pumps at least every hour to prevent plugging with solids
- Clean pre-rendering and rendering equipment at the end of each shift
- Ensure all pre-rendering augers are full at all times
Requirements
- High School or equivalent education
- 2 - 4 years of relevant experience
- Reading, writing and analytical skills
- Ability to use and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment
