About The Position

The 2nd Shift Storeroom Attendant is responsible for sharpening various types of knives for employees, maintaining knife-sharpening equipment, and distributing supplies to employees, management, and visitors. The position requires the ability to clean and fix wizard knives, maintain employee records, and post daily issues in the computer system. The role also involves receiving supplies, keeping shelves stocked, and entering supplies sold to employees or departments into the computer. The working hours are from 5:30 pm to 4:00 am, with flexibility as needed, including Saturdays.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Good people skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
• Ability to sharpen knives and distribute supplies.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Good attendance record.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Resume required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous knife sharpening experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sharpen straight knives, draw knives, and wizard knives using a knife grinder.
• Clean, maintain, and fix wizard knives with the correct parts.
• Maintain employee records in the computer database.
• Post daily issues in the computer.
• Distribute supplies such as frocks, hard hats, earplugs, boots, and other apparel to employees, management, and visitors.
• Receive supplies and keep shelves stocked.
• Enter supplies sold to each employee or department into the computer.
• Maintain knife-sharpening equipment in working order.
• Perform other duties as needed or required by the Storeroom Manager.
