About the position

The 2nd Shift Underground Miner / Equipment Operator position at Rogers Group, Inc. involves operating various mining equipment in an underground environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety. The role requires experience in underground mining operations and may include responsibilities related to blasting processes and general quarry maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operating a face drill and/or roof bolter in an underground hard rock mine.
• Operating a wheel loader in a confined space to muck headings and load haul trucks.
• Running a scaler or an excavator with scaler attachment to scale rock from mine walls.
• Working with explosives and the blasting process to facilitate production.
• Performing daily pre-and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Following all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of proficient experience operating underground mining equipment such as a face drill, scaler, roof bolter, or loader is preferred.
• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• Ability to operate underground mining equipment with precision in confined spaces.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
• Self-motivated and able to work without requiring close supervision.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
