About the position

As a Warehouse Selector at C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that local families and communities are fed by accurately picking, gathering, and organizing products for delivery. This position is ideal for upbeat individuals who enjoy staying active while earning a competitive income. You will work primarily in a fast-paced warehouse environment, contributing to the efficiency of order fulfillment and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Picking various items using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Stacking items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors.
• Ensuring accuracy of orders while adhering to safety standards.
• Operating a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases of products from storage racks and place them on pallets.
• Applying selection labels to appropriate cases.
• Utilizing proper wrapping techniques to ensure product safety and prevent damages.
• Informing the Supervisor of any discrepancies in case quantity or description.
• Performing equipment inspections and completing appropriate forms.
• Frequent safe lifting of varying case weights, shapes, and heights.
• Walking between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces.

Requirements

• General Equivalency Diploma or High School Diploma required.
• Ability to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures.
• Willingness to perform frequent lifting of products weighing between 1 - 60 lbs or more.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Familiarity with operating pallet jacks or similar equipment.
