About the position

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented 2nd Shooter to join our dynamic video production team. The ideal candidate will assist in capturing high-quality footage for various projects, including events and promotional videos. This role requires a passion for videography and a strong understanding of video production techniques, working closely with the lead videographer to ensure that all visual storytelling elements align with the project's vision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the lead videographer to plan and execute shoots effectively.
• Operate cameras and other equipment to capture high-quality video footage.
• Assist in setting up lighting and sound equipment as needed.
• Ensure all shots are framed correctly and meet the desired aesthetic.
• Participate in post-production processes, including editing and assembling footage.
• Utilize software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects for video editing.
• Contribute to the creation of motion graphics and other visual effects as required.
• Maintain organized project files within Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Illustrator.
• Support the team in meeting deadlines while maintaining high production standards.

Requirements

• Proficiency in videography with a solid understanding of film techniques.
• Familiarity with video production processes from pre-production through post-production.
• Experience using editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects is preferred.
• Knowledge of motion graphics and post-production techniques is a plus.
• A portfolio showcasing previous work in video production or related fields is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in filming for at least 2 years is preferred.
• Ability to relocate to Virginia Beach, VA before starting work is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% is preferred.
