About the position
Foundation Medical Group is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join their outpatient behavioral health clinic. This role involves providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management for patients in various programs, including PHP/IOP and residential settings. The ideal candidate will be extroverted, personable, and willing to treat a range of psychiatric conditions, with a strong focus on addiction treatment. The position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work remotely, contributing to a fast-growing clinic dedicated to improving community mental health.
Responsibilities
- Perform general psychiatric evaluations and medication management for patients.
- Cover a psychiatric crisis unit, conducting quick evaluations via telemedicine.
- Collaborate with outside therapy-based PHP/IOP programs for medication management.
- Build and manage an outpatient clinic patient base.
- Provide on-the-job training and clinical support to patients.
Requirements
- Psychiatry Certified Nurse Practitioner license required.
- BLS Certification required.
- Mid-level Licensed Nurse Practitioner with at least 1 year of prescribing experience in Psychiatry.
- Comfortable working independently with access to MD or senior nurse practitioner for support.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in addiction medicine is preferred.
