About the position

At Lucid, we are committed to introducing the most captivating luxury electric vehicles that elevate the human experience and transcend the perceived limitations of space, performance, and intelligence. As a 3D Print Lab Supervisor for Vehicle Integration, you will play a crucial role in our mission to lead in the new era of luxury electric vehicles. This position requires a deep understanding of 3D printing technologies and processes, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and designers to ensure the successful production of high-quality parts. In this role, you will proficiently set up, operate, and maintain various 3D printing equipment, including FFF/FDM, DLP, and SLS technologies. You will be responsible for stocking appropriate materials and maintenance parts, inspecting print request files for printability and geometric errors, and coordinating the scaling of print requests to ensure timely delivery of parts. Your expertise will be essential in providing Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM) feedback and material/process guidance to engineers prior to printing components, as well as collecting part performance feedback after printing. You will also maintain relationships with external printing services, understanding their general prototyping capabilities, and set expectations with engineers to deliver parts within the expected timeframe. This position requires excellent planning and organization skills to handle large request volumes effectively, as well as the ability to work relatively independently while collaborating with the engineering team.
