About the position

The 3D Visual Designer will join the ADAS and Driver Information team within Digital Product Design at Ford, focusing on creating a best-in-class interface to enhance the driving experience across various autonomous driving levels. This role involves collaboration with product designers, product managers, and engineers to bring innovative 3D designs to life.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create innovative and highly crafted 3D renderings and animation
  • Concept and create 3D elements from idea to final deliverable
  • Support motion design by providing high-fidelity rendered graphics
  • Translate 2D designs to high-fidelity 3D content for development teams for seamless implementation
  • Utilize software skills in 3D software Maya and Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop & After Effects)

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree, or educational/experience equivalent, in Graphic Design, Drafting/Design, 2D/3D Animation, etc.
  • 2-3 years experience in Maya
  • 2-3 years experience in Adobe Software

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in 3D modeling, unwrapping, and animation in Maya, will consider similar toolset
  • Experience with Figma and ProtoPie
  • Strong collaboration, communication, multi-tasking, and organization skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Previous automotive experience is a plus
  • Proven creative work experience in digital product design solutions
