About the position

We are a third-party logistics company seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee and support our warehouse operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our facility operates smoothly and efficiently, adhering to established standard operating procedures. The Assistant Operations Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, which may require flexibility to support night and weekend shifts as needed. This position will involve direct interaction with customers to ensure that their needs are met and that performance metrics are consistently exceeded. The ideal candidate will play a key role in hiring, training, coaching, and motivating employees, as well as setting and managing team goals to drive performance and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations with flexibility to support nights and weekends
• Ensure facility is following established standard operating procedures
• Hire, train, coach, and motivate employees
• Set and manage team goals
• Work directly with customers to ensure metrics are exceeded
• Act as the main point of contact with customers

Requirements

• Familiar with modern warehousing practices and methods of operations
• High school degree
• Minimum of a year experience in a similar role
• Prior experience in ECOM shipping space with high volume goals and expectations
• Must be bilingual
• Prior experience in a 3PL warehouse environment
