About the position

The Remote 340B Program Coordinator at Baptist Health is responsible for ensuring compliance with 340B federal regulations and managing the pharmacy billing process. This role involves coordinating audits, evaluating patient eligibility, and collaborating with department leadership to enhance service offerings. The coordinator will also monitor purchasing records and inventory levels to optimize cost efficiency and product availability.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with 340B federal regulations and monitor guidance and rule changes.
  • Develop, execute, and document self-audits of the 340B process and coordinate remediation of findings.
  • Manage and troubleshoot pharmacy billing issues, ensuring adequate system checks are in place.
  • Evaluate patient eligibility for qualified and non-qualified patients by reviewing medical records and insurance plans.
  • Serve as the primary internal program coordinator and liaison for all 340B-related matters.
  • Assess opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to improve service offerings.
  • Provide oversight for the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor purchasing records and document utilization, savings, and discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels for cost-efficient inventory control.
  • Coordinate all audits and manage requests and responses for audits performed by external auditors.
  • Assist in monitoring reports to ensure compliance with the program.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Business or Computer Science or three years of direct 340B pharmacy coordination experience.
  • Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board with a Kentucky registry or three years of direct 340B pharmacy coordination experience.
  • Obtain Pharmacy Technician Certification within 6 months of employment.
  • PTCB Certification is required if working on-site in a Baptist Health Pharmacy.
