About the position
The Educational Assistant at Chamberlain Elementary School plays a crucial role in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning experience for students. This full-time position requires a commitment to fostering a positive educational environment and assisting in the implementation of instructional activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in the classroom with instructional activities and student supervision.
- Support students in their learning and development, providing individualized attention as needed.
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers to prepare instructional materials and resources.
- Participate in professional development and training as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Possess an Associate's degree or higher, or 48 credit hours completed at an institution of higher education, or scored 464 or higher on the ParaPro Test.
- Possess 12 college credits in early childhood/elementary education courses or hold a CDA credential from the Council for Professional Recognition.
- Experience working in a NAEYC-accredited program is preferred.
