About the position

The Junior QA Engineer position is a 6-month contract role based in Nashville, requiring a hybrid work arrangement with one day onsite. The role focuses on both manual and automation testing of software applications, ensuring quality and functionality through rigorous testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automation testing of software applications.
• Execute pre-existing test scripts.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with developers and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product functionality and testing requirements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Quality Assurance (QA) experience.
• Proficiency in writing, creating, and executing test cases.
• Manual testing experience is acceptable; however, candidates should be prepared to work with test automation as part of this role. Experience with any test automation tools is a strong preference.
• Demonstrated experience with API testing is essential.
• Basic SQL querying capabilities, including experience with building and executing database queries, as well as performing basic joins.
