Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to individual student needs.
• Assess pupil academic progress and personal growth through unit assessments.
• Maintain records of pupil's educational progress in class record books and electronic grade books.
• Communicate with parents about the school program and discuss pupil progress.
• Supervise pupils in out-of-classroom activities as assigned.
• Create an effective learning environment through displays and bulletin boards.
• Participate in school-level planning and faculty meetings.
• Provide extra help to students and teach enrichment periods.

Requirements

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate and Subject Area Endorsement or eligibility.
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in the use of educationally appropriate technology.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
