3rd Shift - 10 C Operator

About the position

Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift C Operator for its Wilmington, OH facility. This role is essential in the finishing operations, ensuring production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality standards. The C Operator will collaborate closely with other operators and supervisors to maintain an efficient workflow and meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support finishing in all areas, including bottoming, sewing, and pinch.
• Complete initial finishing quality monitoring.
• Load pallets as needed in the stacker, sharing responsibility with other operators.
• Remove pallets from stackers and finish them as per customer requests.
• Weigh the first pallet and load it onto the palletizer.
• Change banding and stretch wrap as required.
• Stow pallets in the warehouse and bring in necessary finishing supplies.
• Perform daily forklift inspections.
• Assist crews as directed by the supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with HACCP, GMPs, and SQF (Food Safety Quality system requirements).
• Follow safe work practices and ensure that produced products meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience.
• Ability to receive a passing score on the mechanical aptitude test.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and make accurate adjustments as needed.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, finishing processes, and warehouse operations preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift and use basic hand tools.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs. and perform tasks involving bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
