The Blender will be responsible for accurately blending and mixing all the raw ingredients safely and quality from a recipe card into a finished product. The position operates on a 3rd shift schedule from 10pm to 6:30am, Monday through Friday, located in Beloit, WI.

Responsibilities

  • Blending of raw ingredients into a finished product that meets the established specification.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Ensure all batch products are in spec and meet all company and customer specifications before filling operations start.
  • Compliance with all GMP and Safe Food Handling Policies.
  • Utilize pumps, filters, and scales throughout the blending process.
  • Take samples to QC for approval.
  • Documenting ingredient additions, cleaning records, and lot numbers.
  • Reporting any safety or maintenance issues to your immediate supervisor or by filling out work order requests.
  • Active participation in the LMN safety program.
  • Abide by all internal policies, including GMP, attendance, productivity, etc.
  • Complete any job-related training in the time frame allotted.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity in complying with the position requirements.
  • Safe operation of the material handling equipment.
  • Ensure equipment runs at budgeted efficiency.
  • Perform other duties at the discretion of management.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Flexible work schedule and the ability to work overtime and weekends.
  • Dependable.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, i.e. Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, etc. is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50+ pounds.
  • Previous blending/processing experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
