As a 3rd Shift General Laborer in the Mix Room at Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, you will play a crucial role in supporting the ice cream making process. Your primary responsibilities will include blending ingredients according to the specified order of addition, managing flavoring mix tanks post-pasteurization, and ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized. You will be expected to maintain the highest levels of quality, safety, and hygiene throughout your work, adhering to standard operating procedures and regulations such as GMP, HACCP, and QMS. In this role, you will work closely with the Pasteurizer on the HTST and follow the direction of the Process Control Coordinator in the straining room. Your tasks will involve straining fruit and flavoring tanks, obtaining forklift certification, and managing rework processes. You will also be responsible for conducting shift hand-off meetings, monitoring department metrics related to quality and safety, and ensuring minimal waste during production. Your performance will be measured by your ability to maintain accurate inventories, troubleshoot issues, and adhere to quality and technical systems. You will be expected to act with a sense of urgency, make timely decisions, and find root causes and solutions to problems as they arise.
