About the position

The 3rd Shift Grocery Stock Clerk at Harris Teeter is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining product availability and cleanliness in the grocery store. This role involves stocking shelves, processing and packaging products, and providing excellent customer service during overnight shifts. The position requires teamwork and a commitment to creating a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations.
• Process, package, and stock products according to grocery standards.
• Clean work areas to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
• Provide customer service and assist customers with inquiries.
• Unload stock and reload salvage as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform operations using American money and weight measurement.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to participate in training.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
