About the position

The 3rd shift Inventory Management Systems worker position is a full-time role that operates during the night shift, specifically from 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM, Monday through Friday. This position is temp-to-hire, meaning that after a certain period, there is potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage inventory effectively within the production environment, ensuring that all finished goods are accurately labeled and that inventory levels are maintained according to company standards. In this role, the worker will be responsible for tracking jobs in the ERP system (Plex) to create labels for finished goods pallets. This includes managing inventory on the production lines and collaborating closely with production and quality partners to ensure inventory accuracy. The worker must adhere to all policies and procedures related to FIFO (First In, First Out), holds, and expiry of materials, maintaining inventory accuracy to support the efficient operations of the facility. Additionally, the worker is expected to model and support a safety culture, striving for 100% compliance with safety policies, and must have knowledge of and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety programs. The position may also require performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor that support the overall business needs. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess a high degree of integrity, and be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision in a timely manner. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with proficiency in PC applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as basic math skills. Past job performance should reflect dependability, maturity, initiative, and the ability to exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Track jobs in the ERP system (Plex) to make Finished Good labels.
  • Manage inventory on the production lines.
  • Work closely with Production and Quality partners to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures relating to FIFO, HOLDS, and expiry of materials.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy to support efficient operations of the facility.
  • Model and support Safety Culture and strive for 100% Safety policy compliance.
  • Comply with all GMP and Food Safety programs.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor that support the overall business needs.

  • Must be able to work all shifts as directed.
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including Saturdays.
