About the position

As an OFP Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing current manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibilities will include providing support and basic troubleshooting for ongoing operations, investigating issues, gathering data, and analyzing it for specifically assigned, recurring tasks. You will be responsible for establishing routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans, and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope. Additionally, you will develop and/or procure tooling and mistake-proofing for new processes and/or new parts, ensuring that all operations meet the required standards of quality and efficiency. You will also participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) teams, contributing your expertise to enhance manufacturing processes and drive operational excellence. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards in manufacturing practices. Your ability to work collaboratively within a team environment will be essential as you engage with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and basic troubleshooting for current operations.
  • Investigate, gather, and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks.
  • Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans, and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope.
  • Develop and/or procure tooling and mistake-proofing for new processes and/or new parts.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) teams.

Requirements

  • One or more years of demonstrated factory support and manufacturing engineering knowledge (routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, capacity plans/line design, methods documentation, maintenance, quality plans and labor standards, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Work experience in a team environment.
  • Skills in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAP
  • Knowledge of DC Electric torque equipment
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Robotics experience.
