The Material Handler I position at Parkway Products, LLC is a critical role within the manufacturing process, specifically focused on supporting the operation of injection molding machines. This position requires adherence to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. The Material Handler will be responsible for supplying raw materials and performing a variety of routine support tasks that are essential for the smooth operation of the production line. This role does not involve any supervisory responsibilities, allowing the individual to focus on the operational aspects of material handling without the added duties of managing a team. In this role, the Material Handler will engage in several key activities, including picking orders from inventory, unloading, moving, and storing materials, and utilizing various equipment such as manual lifts, reach trucks, and transfer equipment. Proper training in safety and operational procedures is required for the use of this equipment. The Material Handler will also be responsible for storing and stacking materials according to company standards, ensuring that all materials are organized and easily accessible for production needs. Additionally, the Material Handler will identify and verify parts, complete all necessary Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks, and report any inventory shortages while recommending new orders to maintain stock levels. The role also includes the responsibility of removing damaged materials from stock and cleaning, checking, and setting up material dryers, feeders, and loaders as needed. This position is essential for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the production process, contributing to the overall success of Parkway Products, LLC.
