The Mechanic is responsible for general maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems. This position requires practical skill and knowledge in such trades as HVAC, plumbing, general mechanical maintenance procedures, basic refrigeration, and basic electricity. All Keeco Associates are expected to support Operations by working efficiently and maintaining a high level of productivity in order for the organization to meet and exceed customer demands. This position places a strong significance on effective teamwork, clear communication, sound judgment, safety orientation, reliability, and a strong work ethic. The Mechanic will perform all maintenance activities in a safe, clean, and efficient manner while maintaining compliance with changing OSHA regulations. The role may require working overtime and flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays. Mechanics are expected to perform necessary corrective maintenance to ensure the facility and equipment are operating properly, replace and repair parts, rebuild equipment, and align gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts. They will utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment, and perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory. Mechanics will respond to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner and perform preventive maintenance activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan. They will maintain Keeco LTO certification and safely operate all lift trucks (boom, scissor, forklift). Housekeeping duties are also part of the role, including work area clean-up and machine and equipment clean-up. The position requires acquiring detailed knowledge of equipment components to diagnose causes of electrical mechanical malfunctions or provide corrective maintenance, and participation in maintenance training programs to continuously improve knowledge, skills, and abilities.
