About the position

The 3rd Shift Process Technician at Rohrer Corporation is responsible for operating and maintaining thermoforming machinery, ensuring the correct materials are used, and monitoring machine performance. This entry-level position requires adherence to safety and GMP practices while participating in lean manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain required logs, check sheets, inspection sheets, and work orders.
• Obtain and ensure the correct roll stock or materials are used and located by machinery.
• Position rolls of material on unwinder and thread film through the machine.
• Perform start-ups and shut downs of thermoforming machinery.
• Clear material jams in machinery and monitor for mechanical problems.
• Lift heavy objects and clean work areas, machines, and equipment.
• Take corrective action for machine stoppages and notify Lead or Supervisor for maintenance assistance.
• Recognize and correct safety hazards as they are identified.
• Maintain assigned lines in a clean and orderly condition following safety policies and GMP practices.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing Events as required.
• Gather packaging supplies and build carton boxes for assigned line.
• Inspect products for defects and verify conformity to standards.
• Sort and pack finished products into containers according to specifications.
• Stack finished cartons on skids in proper pattern.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with GMP practices
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles
