The operator must be able to load and manipulate programs on the Python machine, ensuring that the specifications meet customer designs by reading prints or digital files. Quality control is a significant aspect of this position, as the operator will need to inspect parts and change consumables to maintain optimal cutting quality. Daily preventative maintenance of the Python machine is required, along with accurately filling out inspection logs to track the machine's performance. The operator will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring that consumables and machine-specific tooling are stored properly. Good attendance is emphasized as an essential function of this job, reflecting the importance of reliability in this role.

Responsibilities

• Provides the set-up, operation, and maintenance of the Python X machine.
• Measures stock lengths.
• Loads and unloads material from the machine.
• Packages complete jobs for shipment.

• Measures parts with tape and/or square.
• Reads prints or digital files to ensure parts conform to customer designs.
• Inspects and changes consumables to ensure optimal cut quality.
• Performs daily Python preventative maintenance and fills out daily inspection logs accurately.
• Maintains a safe and efficient work area.
• Maintains organization of consumables and machine-specific tooling.
• Demonstrates good attendance.

Requirements

• Experience operating Python X or similar machinery.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Familiarity with measuring tools such as tape and squares.
• Ability to read and interpret prints or digital files.
• Experience in general warehouse duties.
