About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) at Buchanan County Health Center is responsible for delivering high-quality resident care in the Long Term Care area. This role requires effective clinical judgment, critical thinking, and coordination of care, ensuring adherence to nursing standards while managing resident care and assisting colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for the delivery of resident care in the Long Term Care area.
- Make clinical judgments effectively and efficiently with supervision.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of resident care.
- Manage resident care and assist others in the management of resident care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate Degree of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Mandatory Reporter Certification required.
- One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Ability to demonstrate self-confidence and a positive attitude toward self and others.
- Excellent team player and communication skills.
