About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med/Surg unit at Buchanan County Health Center is responsible for delivering patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role requires critical thinking and effective clinical judgment to coordinate patient care efficiently. The RN is accountable for managing patient care and assisting colleagues in the same, ensuring adherence to nursing standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care on the Med/Surg unit according to departmental and organizational policies.
- Make clinical judgments effectively and efficiently with supervision.
- Demonstrate critical thinking in the coordination of patient care.
- Manage patient care and assist others in the management of patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate Degree of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
- ACLS & PALS certification required.
- One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate self-confidence and a positive attitude toward self and others.
- Excellent team player and communication skills.
