About the position

Project Luong Architects LLC is seeking a skilled Architectural Designer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join their team. The role involves collaborating on various architectural projects, from design to construction documentation, while ensuring compliance with building codes and project standards. The position offers a hybrid work environment and emphasizes teamwork and flexibility within a small firm setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with principals and staff on design and production of deliverables for all project phases.
• Translate concepts into working drawings and details that conform to construction methods and project budgets.
• Understand building and accessibility codes and navigate the permitting process.
• Travel to project locations for field verification and construction coordination as needed.
• Coordinate with General Contractors during the construction phase, including bid and submittal reviews.
• Maintain a working knowledge of Revit and ensure high-quality design outputs.
• Take on project-wide responsibilities and grow into a full project manager role.
• Work collaboratively with team members and be flexible in task assignments.

Requirements

• Minimum BArch or MArch from an accredited university.
• 5 to 10 years of work experience with another architecture firm.
• Fully licensed in Texas or actively pursuing licensure in Texas.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Enscape.
• Understanding of how construction documents are assembled and how to read them.
