About the position

The 5G Network Engineer, also known as The Connectivity Pioneer, is responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing 5G networks to enhance global connectivity. This role involves collaborating with various teams to build next-generation mobile networks, focusing on wireless technologies, network protocols, and RF engineering to deliver seamless 5G connectivity across industries.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and implement 5G network architectures, including core, access, and transport layers, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Analyze and enhance network performance through KPIs such as latency, throughput, and capacity, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Work on integrating Massive MIMO, beamforming, network slicing, and other advanced technologies into the 5G network ecosystem.
  • Enable ultra-low latency applications by designing networks that support edge computing and IoT devices.
  • Perform RF testing, network diagnostics, and field trials to validate the performance and reliability of 5G infrastructure.
  • Implement robust security protocols for 5G networks, adhering to industry standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Research emerging trends in 5G technology and integrate them into network designs.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of 5G NR (New Radio), LTE, and related wireless protocols.
  • Experience with network design tools like NetSim, OPNET, or similar for network simulation and planning.
  • Familiarity with radio access technologies, RF planning, and optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C+, or similar for automation and network management.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in 5G technologies, such as Nokia, Ericsson, or Huawei certifications.
  • Experience in edge computing, IoT, or private network solutions.
