About the position

The 5G RF Engineering Manager at Verizon is responsible for leading a team of Principal and Senior RF engineers in designing private LTE/5G and in-building systems. This role involves overseeing the design, pricing, and management of partner selection for 5G Wireless delivery, ensuring projects are executed on time and within budget. The manager will also focus on driving down deployment costs and increasing efficiency while maintaining professional relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Principal and Senior 5G RF engineers in designing private LTE/5G and in-building systems.
• Evaluate and oversee the design of cost-effective solutions for 5G Wireless delivery.
• Manage the pricing and partner selection process for engineering solutions.
• Define, develop, and maintain processes to drive down deployment costs and increase efficiency.
• Interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders including sales, solutions architects, and finance.
• Perform site walks to gather project details for successful implementation.
• Create iBwave designs in-house and in collaboration with partners.
• Develop trusted technical advisor relationships with internal organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience in RF Engineering.
• Six or more years of experience in a 4G/5G RF Engineering role with leadership responsibilities.
• Two or more years of experience in a formal people leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience with LTE and 5G architecture in enterprise deployment scenarios.
• Experience with propagation and optimization modeling tools such as Atoll, GeoPlan, and iBwave.
• Experience with Ericsson/Nokia/Samsung systems including OSS.
• Experience with iBwave certification (lvl-3 preferred) and knowledge of major DAS systems like Commscope, Mobile Access, Solid, and/or JMA.
