About the position

The Residential Area Director at Dungarvin is responsible for overseeing the management and administration of residential group homes, specifically in the Mankato area. This role involves developing and implementing budgets, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, enhancing program quality, and nurturing staff development. The director will also manage operational managers and program directors, while prioritizing safety and service delivery for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the management and administration of programs and services in the specified geographic area.
  • Develop and implement budgets and negotiate rates.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and enhance program quality.
  • Nurture staff development and oversee operational managers and program directors.
  • Implement policies and systems while managing risks and minimizing organizational liabilities.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with funding sources, regulatory bodies, and families.
  • Manage program/area financial performance, including budget management and contract review.
  • Lead the training and supervision of program directors and managers, evaluating performance for quality assurance.
  • Assess and propose policies and procedures to elevate program efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Allied Health, Health and Human Services, Human Services Management, Social Work, or Behavioral Science.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience in human services or healthcare, preferably overseeing community-based programs for adults with disabilities.
  • Designated Manager status per 245D licensing requirements in MN.
  • Experience managing budgets of $2M+ revenues.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience overseeing operations in Residential, Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), Unit Based, or High Acuity (HA) environments.
  • Expertise in 245D regulations and fee-for-service programming.
  • Familiarity with Minnesota state systems and managed care systems.
