About the position

The Transportation Compliance Coordinator at Landstar is responsible for ensuring compliance with hours-of-service regulations through a variety of tasks including audits, driver training, and education. This role is crucial in achieving full adherence to both state and federal regulations, as well as Landstar's internal policies. The position requires a proactive approach to managing compliance issues and involves direct interaction with drivers and other stakeholders to ensure that all operational practices meet the required standards. In this role, you will handle inbound and outbound calls, providing quality customer service while addressing compliance-related inquiries. You will also be responsible for performing random drug and alcohol notifications, educating both internal and external customers on hours-of-service compliance, and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Conducting audits to verify any violations found is a key responsibility, as is administering the corrective action process, which may include the cancellation of an operator's lease if necessary. Additionally, you will analyze spreadsheets and other reports to ensure compliance with regulations. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of Landstar's operations and ensuring that all drivers are operating within the legal frameworks set forth by regulatory bodies. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months of customer service experience
