The Mortgage Relationship Manager is responsible for performing various duties relating to the origination and processing of mortgage loans, achieving assigned quantitative sales goals, and coordinating work within the department as well as with other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various duties relating to the origination and processing of mortgage loans.
  • Sell mortgage loan products to customers by obtaining referrals from various sources.
  • Conduct borrower interviews to analyze needs and provide appropriate loan programs.
  • Set secondary market pricing and sell mortgages to the secondary market as per guidelines.
  • Work with secondary market vendors and FNMA.
  • Implement new programs and sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and send required disclosures and follow up to ensure timely returns.
  • Communicate with customers, realtors, attorneys, and appraisers during processing of loans.
  • Maintain awareness of new business opportunities and cross-sell mortgage customers to other bank departments.
  • Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Obtain and maintain appropriate Bank Product Knowledge Certification.
  • Obtain and maintain active Nationwide Mortgage Licensing Registry (NMLS).
  • Complete appropriate SAFE Act training.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in related positions.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
  • Proficient interpersonal relations, communicative, and sales skills.
  • Moderate PC skills and ability to learn software tools.
  • Valid driver's license.
