About the position

The Azure Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data solutions within the Azure ecosystem. This role focuses on leveraging various Azure services to build data pipelines, ensure data governance, and optimize data storage and retrieval processes. The position requires a strong background in data engineering, cloud platforms, and big data technologies, with a focus on delivering high-quality data solutions for business intelligence and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data solutions using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Develop and manage data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Ensure data governance and compliance with security standards.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes using Azure services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate BI tools and data models.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
• Seven years of experience applying Enterprise Architecture principles, with five years in a lead capacity.
• Five years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with knowledge of Scala or R beneficial.
• Experience with data warehousing systems and OLAP/OLTP systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of API management solutions such as Apigee.
• Experience with GitHub CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI and Tableau.
