About the position

The Organizational Change Management Specialist will play a key role in ensuring that projects, specifically continuous improvement and change request releases initiatives, meet their objectives on time and within budget. This position focuses on the people side of change, which includes changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles, and organizational structures. The primary responsibility of the Change Management Specialist will be to create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage while minimizing resistance. The Change Management Specialist will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization, and greater proficiency of the changes that impact employees within the organization. This is essential for increasing benefit realization, value creation, return on investment (ROI), and achieving desired results and outcomes. The role requires applying a structured methodology to lead change management activities, assessing the change impact, and creating actionable deliverables for various change management levers, including communications plans, sponsor and coaching plans, learning plans, resistance management plans, and adoption plans. In addition, the specialist will identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics, manage anticipated resistance, consult and coach project teams, support communication efforts, and create learning deliverables. They will also support training efforts, engage senior leaders, coach managers and supervisors, and coordinate efforts with other specialists. Integrating change management activities into an overall project plan, evaluating user readiness, managing stakeholders, tracking and reporting issues, defining and measuring success metrics, and monitoring change progress are also key responsibilities. The specialist will support change management at the organizational level and contribute to Enterprise Change Management initiatives.

Requirements

  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
