About the position
The Assistant Store Manager at Cosmo Prof plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing store operations, leading associates, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This position focuses on achieving key performance indicators and financial targets through effective business analysis and action planning. The Assistant Manager is responsible for various operational, people management, and brand-related duties, particularly in the absence of the Store Manager.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the direction and planning of associates' daily goals to maximize sales and customer loyalty.
- Engage, train, and develop team members to achieve positive results and maintain a strong workforce.
- Ensure execution of company processes and support digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment.
- Maintain a safe store environment for associates and customers, enforcing all safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum 3+ years of retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
- At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred.
- Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.
- Effective communication skills with team and management.
- Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business.
- Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management and payroll processes.
