About the position

The Office Clerk B position at Inteplast Group is designed to provide comprehensive training in various scheduling and production-related tasks. The primary objective of this role is to assist in generating backlog, arranging production schedules, and ensuring the proper sequencing of production instructions. The clerk will be responsible for managing labels, monitoring production sequences, and handling the printing of semi-finished goods. Additionally, the role involves data entry, maintaining production checklists, verifying CMA (Critical Manufacturing Activities), and compiling downtime and machine efficiency reports. The position requires a proactive approach to reporting and modifying production processes as necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity. As part of the training, the Office Clerk B will work closely with IBS Schedulers to learn the specific tasks and duties associated with scheduling. Timeliness in completing paperwork is crucial, as is maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Adherence to all plant and safety rules, whether communicated verbally or in writing, is mandatory. The clerk will also be required to attend safety and training classes as mandated by management. The responsibilities of this position may evolve over time, reflecting changes in job responsibilities and the clerk's tenure in the role. The work environment for this position is primarily indoors, providing protection from weather elements, although conditions may vary. The temperature may be controlled, but there could also be exposure to noise, moving machinery, and electrical currents. Additionally, the clerk may encounter chemicals, gases, and high heat, as well as unregulated atmospheric conditions due to odors and dust. Therefore, the ability to read tape measurements and digital displays is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Training with IBS Schedulers tasks and duties.
  • Complete paperwork on a timely basis.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Follow all plant and safety rules and regulations, written or verbal.
  • Attend safety and training classes as required by management.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by manager and/or delegation requests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED is preferred.
  • Computer knowledge is required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to ensure consistent, dependable attendance and accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
