About the position
At SanMar, the work you do makes a difference. We are currently seeking a Receiver/Loader to join our team in Irving, TX. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by unloading and loading incoming and outgoing trailers. The Receiver/Loader will follow standard operating procedures (SOP) which may include sorting, palletizing, and moving products. The role requires a positive and supportive attitude towards the company, job, customers, and co-workers. You will be expected to meet minimum standards and accuracy standards while adhering to delivery deadlines. Maintaining a safe, neat, and clean work area is essential, and adherence to SanMar safety regulations is mandatory. The Receiver/Loader will work from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and the pay for this position starts at $15.00 per hour. The job involves using electric Power Jacks to move pallets and/or products as needed. You will need to demonstrate the ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities or job duties as business needs require. Working efficiently with minimal supervision is crucial, as is the ability to thrive in a high-demand, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for success in this role. Additionally, you may need to complete and maintain SanMar's Lift Operator Certification every three years.
Responsibilities
- Unload and load product by following standard operating procedures.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information.
- Basic math skills in counting and quantity required.
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require.
- Ability to work efficiently, with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a high-demand, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines.
- Able to work both independently and within a team.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comprehends verbal and written instructions.
