About the position
The 6th Grade Girls Basketball Coach is responsible for organizing and leading the basketball season for middle school girls. This part-time position involves conducting tryouts, leading practices, and developing game strategies, while also coordinating travel plans for away games in collaboration with the Athletic Director.
Responsibilities
- Organize and schedule the basketball season
- Conduct player tryouts at the beginning of the season (if needed)
- Lead team practices and conditioning sessions
- Provide in-game strategy
- Coordinate with the Athletic Director for travel plans for away games
Requirements
- Experience in coaching basketball or a similar sport
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to motivate and develop young athletes
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience coaching at the middle school level
- Knowledge of basketball strategies and techniques
