About the position
The 6th Grade Science Teacher at Copper Trails School is responsible for providing quality classroom instruction aligned with Arizona State Standards. The role emphasizes collaboration with mentor and master teachers to enhance instructional practices and improve student achievement. The teacher will engage in professional growth activities and maintain a positive learning environment for students.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality classroom instruction guided by Arizona State Standards.
- Participate in the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) for instructional accountability.
- Attend ongoing professional growth groups and collaborate with mentor teachers.
- Develop and maintain an Individual Growth Plan (IGP).
- Use formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress.
- Align lessons to district curriculum and state standards.
- Integrate educational technology into the classroom.
- Maintain organized and well-managed instructional groups and transitions.
- Communicate effectively with students, peers, and administration.
- Participate in professional growth activities to improve teaching skills.
Requirements
- Valid Arizona teaching certificate
- Bachelor's Degree
- SEI Endorsement (minimum requirement)
- Experience in teaching
