About the position

As a 7-Eleven Assistant Store Manager for a Franchisee, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining an exceptional store experience for guests. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the store's operations, including staffing, training, vendor relations, and inventory management, while ensuring a clean and well-stocked environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure sufficient staffing levels to meet the needs of guests
  • Recruit, train and develop staff
  • Develop strong vendor relations
  • Maintain a clean, properly stocked and merchandised store
  • Promote 7-Eleven to guests and the community
  • Maximize sales and profits
  • Identify and resolve sales obstacles
  • Manage and maintain proper inventory levels and controls
  • Perform cashier duties (ring sales and maintain cash control)
  • Perform all regular cleaning activities and other tasks included in job assignments

Requirements

  • Strong background in retail sales, stocking, and cash handling
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in basic math and retail math
  • Experience with cash registers and POS systems
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team
  • Bilingual skills and knowledge of merchandising techniques
  • Familiarity with grocery store operations and product demos

Nice-to-haves

  • Retail/Food Service experience is a plus
  • Must have a vehicle and a mobile phone
