About the position

The Senior Microsoft 365 and Cloud Security Engineer is a seasoned IT professional responsible for overseeing the configuration, optimization, and security of critical IT systems, particularly focusing on Microsoft 365 services and cloud security. This role requires deep expertise in IT service management and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues while streamlining IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize user license assignments and compliance within Microsoft 365.
• Oversee Teams administration, including advanced channel setup and permissions.
• Configure and manage advanced device compliance policies in Intune.
• Manage Exchange Online, including mailbox configuration and email flow.
• Administer SharePoint for site and document library management.
• Provide advanced support for OneDrive for Business, including file synchronization and data recovery.
• Manage Microsoft Bookings setup and calendar management.
• Oversee Microsoft Defender administration for endpoint security.
• Use NinjaOne for device management and remote support.
• Configure and optimize Splashtop for remote desktop support.
• Manage ITSM workflows and ticket lifecycles using SolarWinds Samanage.
• Oversee patch management processes and ensure timely updates.
• Implement secure configurations and data protection measures in cloud security.
• Manage and troubleshoot networking setups, including TCP/IP and VPNs.
• Use SIEM systems for threat detection and incident response.
• Utilize scripting languages to streamline IT workflows.

Requirements

• Minimum of seven years of experience in IT support roles.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and cloud security.
• Advanced experience in ITSM and ticketing systems.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with automation tools for IT process improvement.
• Familiarity with Prisma Suite components for cloud security management.
