About the position

The Munitions Test Engineer will support the 780th Test Squadron at Eglin AFB, focusing on the developmental testing of air-to-air, air-to-ground, and direct fire munitions. This role involves developing test plans, coordinating with program offices, and acting as a test director during mission execution, ensuring effective integration and execution of testing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test planning documentation for an emerging weapons program.
  • Forecast test assets and range requirements, serving as Point Of Contact for test development.
  • Integrate with program offices and prime contractors on test requirements.
  • Act as test director during mission execution.
  • Brief and debrief executing aircrew on mission requirements.
  • Coordinate logistical efforts related to test equipment.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 12 years of experience or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering plus 10 years of experience, including at least 6 years of Test & Evaluation (T&E) experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, range, aircraft, aircrew, data and safety constraints associated with developmental test.
  • Experience with developmental testing in a highly classified environment.
  • Experience or familiarity with MRTFB testing at locations such as Eglin AFB, Nellis AFB, Edwards AFB, China Lake NAS, Point Mugu NAS, White Sands Missile Range, and others.

  • TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Special Access Program experience.
