About the position
The 7th/8th Head Girls Tennis Coach is responsible for leading and developing the girls' tennis program at Irving Middle School. This role involves coaching student-athletes, organizing practices, and ensuring the overall well-being and skill development of the team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the 7th and 8th-grade girls' tennis team.
- Organize and conduct daily practices and training sessions.
- Develop game strategies and prepare the team for competitions.
- Monitor the academic and athletic progress of student-athletes.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
Requirements
- Experience in coaching tennis at the middle school or high school level.
- Strong knowledge of tennis techniques and strategies.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a head coach or assistant coach.
- Certification in first aid and CPR.
- Knowledge of sportsmanship and team-building activities.
