About the position
The 8th Grade Boys Volleyball Coach at Olympus Jr. High School is responsible for leading and developing the volleyball team during the season, which runs from March through mid-May. The coach will implement coaching techniques, ensure adherence to the rules of volleyball, and promote a positive and supportive environment for student-athletes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the 8th grade boys volleyball team during the season.
- Develop and implement training sessions and practice plans.
- Ensure adherence to the rules and regulations of volleyball.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude among players.
- Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of student-athletes.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
Requirements
- Resume submission required.
- CPR and First Aid Certificates are mandatory.
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training Certificate is required.
- Concussion in Sports Training Certificate is required.
- TB test clearance is necessary.
- Must meet coaching theory and techniques requirements.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of adolescent psychology.
- Experience in care and prevention of athletic injuries.
- Basic sports injury first aid knowledge.
- Familiarity with emergency procedures.
